Our story
Local Atrium was originally established in Northern California in 2012 as Provender Social Club. Over the last 15 years it’s been a truly helpful and positive online community for 1200+ members! In 2027 we’ll be relaunching with an upgraded platform and more regions. Our name will change to Local Atrium to better reflect the scope and mission of our mutual-aid network.
What the relaunched Local Atrium will be like
Each region will have its own private message board, resource wiki, vendor reviews, guest experts, and member directory, as well as a public jobs board. Members will be able to read and post on the web, in the app, or by email.
Members typically discuss a wide range of topics relevant to small food businesses: compliance and food safety, shared kitchens and co-packers, tools and equipment, packaging and labeling, ingredients and sourcing, suppliers and vendors, equipment repair and service providers, financial and legal services, permits and insurance, hiring and HR, sales and distribution, shipping and freight, selling and buying used equipment, and much more.
Local Atrium will be free to join and use.
